Our client is a leading global manufacturer and provider of a wide range of electric and cordless power tools and garden solutions. They want to expand their markets and market share in the coming years. They are seeking a Field Demo & Detail Representative in Vancouver to join their growing team.
This position reports to the VP of Sales & Marketing and Brand Managers. It is an on-the-road position.
Opportunity:
- This position allows the successful candidate to work with the sales and marketing teams to support, assist, and grow our clients' brands.
- This is a key position, and the chosen candidate will play a crucial role in tracking and reporting on competitive activity in the territory.
- The successful candidate will receive a branded work vehicle to perform mobile dealer events.
Job Summary:
- The Field Sales Support person is essential to our growing company in Canada. The successful candidate will also work in close coordination with the Sales and Marketing team to conduct dealer events, improve market penetration, help create in-store opportunities, and conduct product demonstrations and product knowledge sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support for existing customers in conjunction with territory sales managers.
- Successful implementation of the client’s sales strategy.
- Presentation of new products.
- Carrying out product training.
- Optimal product placement for Point of Sale, including gondola display builds and upkeep.
- Collection of area-relevant data for the targeted further development of the sales area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
ARE YOU THE RIGHT CANDIDATE?
Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field is preferred but not required.
- Bilingual- French and English required
- Technical knowledge and understanding or hands-on experience with power and garden tools.
- Proven experience working with sales and marketing teams.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Articulate, with solid writing and presentation skills.
- Must reside in the territory.
- Valid driver's license and passport in good standing.
Personal Characteristics:
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and build relationships while managing multiple tasks and projects.
- Efficient time manager with expertise in handling a comprehensive schedule.
- Able to create a transport schedule and arrive on time while driving within the speed limit.
- Comfortable with public speaking and conducting on-site face-to-face product training for all product groups (focusing on Power Tools and Power Garden Tools).
- Prepare and coordinate the “dealer days” or “parking lot events” with the responsible Territory Sales Managers and key account managers.
- Follow up on the dealer events (analysis of sales, turnover, etc.).
- Self-confident, energetic, and team-oriented professional
- Willingness and ability to travel multiple days per week, including some weekend work.
