At Hook It Up, our Servers are at the center of the guest experience. This is a hands-on role where you’ll welcome guests, take and serve orders and help keep the dining area clean and ready for the next guest.
You’ll be part of a close-knit team in a casual, fast-paced environment where everyone works together to keep service moving and make sure guests leave happy.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive service
- Serve draft, canned and bottled beer according to established service standards
- Answer questions about available beer selections and make recommendations to guests
- Verify identification and follow all responsible alcohol service requirements
- Accurately enter orders and process guest payments through the point-of-sale system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the beer and beverage service area
- Keep beer service supplies stocked and ready throughout the shift
- Monitor product levels and communicate restocking needs to leadership
- Maintain clean glassware and follow proper sanitation procedures
- Occasionally clear used baskets, trays, dishes and other service items from guest tables as needed
- Wipe, sanitize and reset tables when assisting with dining room service
- Communicate and work closely with Servers, kitchen staff and leadership to support smooth service
- Follow all food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standards
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by your direct supervisor, Executive Chef/Owner
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Current New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit or ability to obtain
- New Mexico Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain
- Friendly, approachable and comfortable interacting with guests
- Ability to accurately handle guest orders, payments and point-of-sale transactions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Ability to stand and move throughout the restaurant for extended periods
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Previous beer, bar or restaurant experience preferred, but not required
