Job Profile Summary:
Supervises the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs.Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees team and coordination with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain.
- Responds to escalations of bottlenecks or problem areas and proposes solutions.
- Monitors suppliers and service providers for quality and performance.
- Supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes.
- Contributes to the development of processes and procedures
- Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor
- Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision
- 1+ years prior experience in a lead, supervisory or management role
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Make creative, timely and independent decisions.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Confident, team-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English, including the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English, is required for this position.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- CargoWise One (WiseTech) Experience
- Intermediate to Advanced level of experience with Excel
- Self-managed and highly motivated
- Displays integrity, reliability, empathy, and a strong work ethic.
- Results-oriented; Displays sense of urgency.
- Proficient in routing, costing, rating, and tracking.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds
- Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.
- Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
