Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Program Director to lead the delivery of large-scale, strategic initiatives that drive meaningful outcomes for Central 1 and its clients.
As a trusted leader, you will guide complex programs, manage risks and dependencies, and foster collaboration across project, technology, and business teams. This is an opportunity to influence strategic outcomes, build strong stakeholder relationships, and deliver lasting value.
What you'll be doing:
Lead and inspire cross-functional teams through complex, business-critical transformations, ensuring successful program delivery and measurable results.
Coach, mentor, and support project managers and team members, fostering growth, collaboration, and high performance.
Define program strategies, objectives, and roadmaps, proactively driving progress and removing obstacles to success.
Establish and maintain effective governance frameworks, ensuring clear decision-making and accountability across stakeholders.
Provide executive leaders and the Board with clear, timely updates on program progress, risks, opportunities, and key decisions.
Ensure programs are delivered with a strong focus on quality, customer experience, business value, and return on investment.
Work with clients and internal teams to develop strategic plans, implementation roadmaps, and deployment recommendations.
Manage vendor and third-party relationships to ensure successful delivery and alignment with program goals.
Oversee program timelines, budgets, dependencies, and priorities across multiple projects and workstreams.
Lead change management and communications activities, helping teams and stakeholders successfully adopt new processes, systems, and ways of working.
Identify and resolve risks, issues, and gaps that could impact program outcomes, taking proactive action to keep delivery on track.
Partner closely with Client Experience and senior leadership teams to continuously improve delivery processes, remove barriers, and enhance the overall client experience.
What you'll have:
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is an asset.
7+ years of experience leading complex projects and programs from planning through successful delivery.
Proven success in a senior Program Manager, Program Director, or similar leadership role.
Strong understanding of program and project management practices, with certifications such as MSP®, PgMP®, PMP®, or equivalent considered an asset.
Experience delivering large-scale initiatives within the financial services industry.
Familiarity with project and program management tools, along with strong Microsoft Office skills.
Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies to support complex technology and business initiatives.
Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement practices.
Experience leading organizational change and driving adoption of new processes, systems, or ways of working.
Exceptional leadership, communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong planning, budgeting, and resource management capabilities.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to anticipate challenges, navigate complexity, and keep programs moving forward.
Salary range: $130,000-$155,000 plus variable incentive 20%-30%
The salary represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
