Job Description:
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides pre-hospital emergency medical care, assessment, treatment, and transportation services to patients in a safe, timely, and compassionate manner. The EMT responds to emergency and non-emergency calls, delivers Basic Life Support (BLS) care within the scope of certification, promotes patient and provider safety, and supports Trinity Health's Mission, Vision, and Values through high quality service and collaboration with healthcare, EMS, and public safety partners.
Requirements:
Strong verbal communication, documentation, critical thinking, and patient assessment skills.
Ability to perform all EMT Basic skills and operate BLS equipment.
Minimum one (1) year of experience as an active EMT preferred.
Required background clearances and eligibility to practice as an EMS provider.
Valid driver's license in good standing required.
EMS Vehicle Operator certification (EMSVO) required.
Current Pennsylvania EMT certification and current BCLS/CPR certification required.
Graduate of a Pennsylvania-approved EMT training program.
High school diploma or GED required.
