- Develop mitigation strategies and escalation paths for high-impact or ambiguous problems, applying innovative and strategic solutions.
- Proactively monitor cross-portfolio dependencies to prevent downstream delivery or financial impacts.
Mentorship & Capability Building
- Establish and lead formal mentorship relationships with project and program managers across multiple organizations.
- Coach and develop talent, sharing portfolio management best practices and technical domain expertise.
- Lead initiatives to elevate the overall quality of work and raise the capability of the broader PM/PgM community.
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Apply deep, cross-domain technical knowledge to guide decision-making on complex, ambiguous problems.
- Integrate knowledge across multiple technical disciplines and specialties to deliver sound, well-reasoned portfolio outcomes.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, methodologies, and industry trends relevant to the managed portfolios.
What you’ll need to be successful:

Technical & Domain Expertise
- Subject matter expert with a demonstrated ability to master and operate across multiple technical business domains.
- Advanced knowledge of portfolio management methodologies, frameworks, and industry best practices (e.g., PMI, SAFe, Agile/Scrum, hybrid delivery models).
- Working knowledge of relevant technical infrastructure, systems, or platforms applicable to the organization's portfolio.
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Strong mentorship, coaching, and leadership capabilities with demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across organizational boundaries without direct authority.
- Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial and technical information for senior leadership audiences.
