Job Description Summary

This position leads the fulfilment and expediting team for our Balance-of-Plant Equipment globally for our Heavy-duty NU projects and ensures fulfilment of delivery commitments towards the projects. This person owns BOP fulfilment process and strives for continuous improvement in order to achieve world class outcomes.
This is a team leader role, mainly of TCOE resources.
BOP Sourcing Fulfillment Leader supports Region BOP Fulfilment Leaders in providing systemic schedule updates for equipment deliveries in their projects and is the main point of contact for all functional matters related to fulfilment and expediting and will liaise with all sub-functions within the Sourcing department. This leader also manages the expediting of Installation Parts.

Job Description

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparation and implementation of project expediting plans that proactively tracks and monitors supplier deliverables

  • Lead supplier kick-off meetings with participation of other relevant functions

  • Ensure that all supplier deliverables are received according to project schedule

  • Prepare project expediting plans for effective tracking, monitoring and on-time receipt of all supplier deliverables including required data, documentation, materials and equipment.

  • Contact suppliers to verify receipt and understanding of purchase orders, confirm shipping schedule commitments and establish monthly progress reporting requirements.

  • Proactively track and monitor supplier deliverables and maintain up-to-date reporting in designated database reflecting current status and analysis of schedule performance. Share reporting with the Region BOP Fulfilment Leaders and other appropriate stakeholders for incorporation into overall project schedule.

  • Assess supplier performance utilizing a “look ahead” approach that enables early identification of risks and opportunities and recommendations of actions

  • Provide early identification of potential risks and opportunities and create a recovery case of slippages. Work with suppliers to determine and implement corrective actions. Proactively monitor and enforce recovery plans.

  • Expedite all supplier deliverables that are or are anticipated to be behind schedule and work with suppliers to determine and implement corrective actions. Proactively monitor and enforce recovery plans.

  • Provide current promised dates to project procurement for incorporation into overall schedule.

  • Verify Quality Assurance and Shipping Preparation activities, assuring company inspections have been completed and shipping instruction provided.

  • Provide Input to the preparation and implementation of supplier recovery back charge and claims.

  • Comments on baseline project schedule to the Project Tendering Manager and works closely with Region BOP Fulfilment Leader and project scheduler throughout the project to optimize procurement schedule

  • Ensures that suppliers meet all contractual requirements related to documentation including shipping documents, end of manufacturing reports, certificates

  • Ensures that supplier quality / expediting has established the supplier monitoring-concept

  • Create On-time delivery report and Supplier heat map for Balance of Plant scope globally

  • Owns Balance of Plant Bowler dashboard reporting and works with Fulfilment Leaders and PSM Operations Leaders to support their reporting requirements

  • Continuously improves BOP fulfilment process by leading or participating in work-outs and Kaizens

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.

  • Major experience in Manufacturing, Sourcing or Supplier Quality

  • Demonstrated experience in BOP fulfilment

  • Strong technical knowledge of Engineered Equipment products, especially valves, pumps and condensers

  • Demonstrated capability in leading Lean workouts

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%, as required

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute concrete action plans

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
