Employment Type: Full-time
Rate: $60/hour
- Competitive rate of $60/hour.
- Mileage reimbursement.
- 5 sick days (40 hours), subject to the provisions of the NYS Paid Sick Leave Act.

- Full-time position with on-site travel requirements.
- Premium pay rate for holidays and overtime.
- NYS Registered Nurse license required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience performing utilization review, claims adjudication, medical review, fraud investigation, surveillance, or monitoring activities; OR three (3) years of clinical or administrative experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in nursing and two (2) years of clinical or administrative experience.
- At least one (1) year of survey experience required.
- SMQT certification preferred; must be able to obtain within 12 months of employment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to on-site facilities for review assignments.
- The work schedule is determined by the state; candidates must be flexible with scheduling.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts as needed, assigned on a rotating basis.
- This is a travel position.
- Participate in surveys or complaint investigations, including allegations of abuse and neglect, and perform surveillance activities at nursing homes (long-term care) to determine compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Produce written documentation and draft a Statement of Deficiencies (SOD) within the required time frame, using Principles of Documentation.
- Assess compliance with the Plan of Correction within the required time frame.
- Complete data entry in federal and state reporting databases as required.
- Participate in state monitoring during immediate jeopardy situations
- Attend meetings as required.
- Testify in administrative hearings as needed.
- Adhere to applicable work schedules, policies, and procedures.
- Travel to on-site locations according to the work schedule.
