In the role of Group Financial Underwriter, you will work with the Group Underwriting team to ensure Medavie Blue Cross delivers the financial statements for the group health, life and disability income lines of business.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare financial statements for ASO and Retention groups in accordance with financial agreements;
Ensure the wording on the financial agreements is sound;
Ensure underwriting targets are met for growth and profitability
Development and ongoing maintenance of direct relationships with sales, clients and producers; and
Continuous dealings with internal underwriting staff and other internal customers (ie: Finance, Case management, Group Admin), the agent/broker/consultant network and policyholders.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in the field of business administration, mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, or computer science.
1 year of Group Underwriting experience recommended.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel and Word.
Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset.

Pay Range:
53,235 - 59,890 CADThe Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and education/training. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Medavie employees may participate in various performance-based incentive programs. Payments under these programs are discretionary and subject to both individual and organizational results.
