Description
As a Data Analyst you will analyze raw data, developing and maintaining datasets and improving data quality and efficiency to support the business requirements. You will be reporting directly to IT Manager and you will be based at UOA Shah Alam.
Main Responsibilities
Data Analytics & Technical Skills
• Implement and support technical solutions in the SAP Datasphere (data ingestion, integration frameworks).
• Collaborate with Senior Data Analyst to develop optimized data models, pipelines, and frameworks.
• Create and manage data models for SAC reporting and analytics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues.
• Work within strong governance and in an agile, global environment.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, or Scala; familiar with data warehousing, and database systems (SQL/NoSQL).
• Resolve data issues within SAP ecosystem (SAPBW, S4/HANA, Datasphere, SAC)
• Create and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to support business insights and decision-making.
• Adapt to and support reporting solutions across SAC, Power BI, and other analytics platforms.
• Learn and apply best practices in data engineering and analytics.
Project Management & Interpersonal Skills
• Assist in planning and coordinating data analytics projects.
• Document data pipelines and processes.
• Work with SAP COE to review functional specifications to ensure proper data architecture governance
• Track and report on project progress and milestones.
• Build and maintain relationships with Data Analysts and IT colleagues to meet customer service goals.
• Share responsibility with the team for timely delivery and effective collaboration.
• Communicate ideas clearly to colleagues with varying technical knowledge.
• Mentor interns and stay open to learning new tools and practices.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience that includes ETL/ELT workflow experience in design, configuration, data mapping, extraction, transformation and loading and writing high performing code and maintaining it.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Scala, Python, Sql
• Analytical and conceptual skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing
• Must have a strong systems and process orientation
