Job Title: Quality & Installation Engineering Coordinator

Team Overview and Job responsibilities:

We are looking for a Quality & Installation Engineering Coordinator to join our team.

Based in Sorocaba, Brazil, you will be responsible for quality and installation engineering on the HV business unit.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1.           Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on failures and non-conformities identified during installation and assembly activities, promoting the continuous improvement of technical procedures and standards based on lessons learned and performance outcomes.

2.           Drive continuous training and development programs for field teams, based on the evolution of technical procedures, operational best practices, and key performance indicators, ensuring workforce competency and operational excellence.

3.           Consolidate and review reports issued by Site Managers, identifying recurring deviations, bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for improvement at project and customer levels.

4.           Lead the technical structuring and coordination of the LatAm HV Installation Training School, ensuring standardization of training content, assessment criteria, qualification processes, and alignment with global competency and certification requirements.

5.           Ensure compliance with housekeeping, cleanliness, and maintenance procedures within work areas, tools, machinery, and equipment, while providing guidance to contractors and third parties regarding safety regulations, discipline policies, and accident prevention practices.

6.           Provide technical support during project execution, assisting site teams in resolving installation issues, interpreting engineering documentation, and ensuring adherence to approved technical specifications.

7.           Review and validate installation methods, procedures, and work instructions, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.

8.           Coordinate technical interfaces among Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, Quality, and Site Teams to ensure effective communication and successful project delivery.

9.           Support commissioning and acceptance activities, ensuring that installation works are completed according to contractual, technical, quality, and safety requirements.

10.         Participate in technical risk assessments and lessons-learned initiatives, contributing to the development of mitigation plans and the enhancement of future installation projects.

11.         Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) requirements throughout all installation activities, promoting a strong safety culture across project sites.

12.         Support the development and management of maintenance service contracts for underground cable systems, ensuring operational readiness for emergency response activities and providing technical support for fault restoration when required.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and motivations:

  • Complete higher education (Engineering).
  • Desirable: MBA or Post Graduation
  • Advanced English is required
  • Able to remain calm and professional when dealing with stressful circumstances.
  • Proactive and with excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and teamwork.
  • Empathy and diversity in the management of its customers, promoting the company at the most different levels of the customer's organization.
  • Work part-time at Home-office and available to visit customers and travel 50-70% of the time.
  • Ability to use Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook.
