Are you a qualified accountant with in depth technical expertise and a client-focused approach? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our Governance Services team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering high quality accounting services to a portfolio of corporate real estate structures, ensuring the accurate preparation and review of financial statements, reports and valuations. Working closely with colleagues, clients, auditors and third party service providers, you'll provide expert accounting support, build trusted relationships and help ensure deadlines and client expectations are consistently met. About the role
In this role you'll:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in the client entity databases (including Viewpoint, Quickbooks and Yardi)
Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and bi-annual reports
Prepare and review periodic reports, capital account statements and net asset valuations, as required
Focus on privately held corporate real estate structures
Ensure you have a detailed understanding of the transactions and clients you're dealing with and liaise with your line manager on a regular basis
Work with colleagues and team members to ensure client expectations and accounting deadlines are properly managed
Collaborate with client administration and other colleagues providing explanations, advice and accounting support as and when required
Ensure consistency of accounting service levels across all clients and deal swiftly with any queries
Build trusted relationships with clients, auditors and third party service providers
Show an awareness of the integration of Governance Services across jurisdictions and also with the law firm, operating in a unified, consistent and co-ordinated matter
Be familiar with and act at all times in accordance with the firm's policies and procedures
About you – essential requirements
Qualified ACCA/ACA or qualified by relevant experience with good up to date technical accounting knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, including practical application
Previous experience of accounting systems, particularly Viewpoint and Quickbooks would be an advantage
Excellent working knowledge of Excel, with on the job coaching also provided
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
