Assistant Manager in Training

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Store Manager in daily store operations and overall performance
• Supervise, train, and motivate team members
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns
• Oversee cash handling, register operations, and shift reconciliation
• Promote and drive enrollment in the Gas N Wash rewards/loyalty program
• Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company standards
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock control
• Enforce company policies and safety procedures
• Ensures that all necessary store reports and paperwork are completed accurately
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Handles escalated customer concerns and emergencies in absence of the General Manager

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Must be 21+ years old
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3+ years customer service supervisory experience (retail experience preferred)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Available to work a variety of shifts and/or days of the week consistent with the demands of the retail environment which includes weekends, evenings and other high activity periods including Holidays
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation with the ability to travel to varies Gas N Wash locations for training purposes and business purposes

Physical Requirements:

•  Ability to stand for entire shift
•  Ability to frequently lift between 5 to 20 pounds 
•  Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
•  Ability to perform repeated bending, kneeling, twisting and overhead reaching 
•  Ability to work in intermittent temperature, e.g., outside by the pumps and in the cooler
