Join us to be part of the new Airbus UpNext strategic demonstrator paving the future of Aircraft Connectivity. This demonstrator will accelerate the development of new technologies to bring tangible learnings to the business.
Based in Toulouse (Saint Martin), this position comes with limited contract
(CDI-C) linked to the deliverable of the demo (estimated completion date - End of February 2028), starting ASAP.
Mission:
As the Flight Test Coordinator, you will serve as the pivotal technical liaison between the demonstrator and key flight operations stakeholders—including Aircraft Safety, Security, Flight Lab, and airline partners.
You will be responsible for orchestrating the end-to-end flight test lifecycle, ensuring seamless technical alignment and regulatory compliance across all demonstrator missions. Your key responsibilities include:
Flight clearance dossier preparation: Define technical specifications, orchestrate stakeholder review meetings, and secure formal approval of all necessary documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
Interface with aircraft teams (safety, security, and airlines): Act as the primary technical liaison between the demonstrator team and internal stakeholders to align test objectives with operational and Safety of Flight requirements.
Environmental qualification for flight tests: Drive the qualification process to ensure all connectivity hardware meets rigorous aerospace standards (e.g., DO-160, ABD100), guaranteeing system integrity and flight-readiness.
Hardware design support : Products characteristics analysis , Suppliers / Partners support, Involvement in preliminary design, components selection, requirements definition.
Flight tests preparation: Contribute to define complex mission scenarios and operational logistics, ensuring full readiness of ground-side support infrastructure and conducting comprehensive flight crew briefings.
Aircraft kit preparation (hardware/software and documentation): Oversee the end-to-end integration of connectivity hardware and software, ensuring the entire digital chain is pre-configured, validated, and documented for seamless installation.
Support and review meetings: Lead project governance cadences, including PRMs and SteerCos, to report on progress, proactively resolve technical blockers, and ensure strict alignment with the project roadmap.

What you bring
Proven experience in managing the end-to-end flight test lifecycle
Experience in environmental qualification, ideally in the field of aeronautical systems
Experience in flight clearance and flight test preparation
Knowledge of flight test processes and aeronautical standards (e.g., ABD100, DO-160, MIL-STD).
Ideally, experience in the field of demonstrators / R&D projects
Ability to coordinate between various teams for flight test preparation and the preparation of the Flight Clearance dossier
Excellent writing skills for the production of qualification deliverables, Flight Clearance, GTR, ACL, etc.
Autonomy, Adaptability, Availability, Accountability
