What You’ll Do
The Test Operations Program Manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across manufacturing test and repair processes. Working within the Test Engineering organization, this role partners closely with Manufacturing, Quality, NPI, and Engineering teams to standardize test practices, assess production challenges, and implement scalable solutions that improve product quality, test efficiency, and factory performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving alignment and standardization of manufacturing test and repair processes across production sites, ensuring consistency in test execution, data collection, and operational metrics.
- Partnering with Test Engineers to identify opportunities for improving product test coverage, test efficiency, yield performance, and overall manufacturing quality.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing test escapes, optimizing cycle time, improving throughput, and enhancing repair effectiveness.
- Performing technical assessments of manufacturing test processes, equipment utilization, and production challenges, providing data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Analyzing production test and repair data to identify trends, recurring failure modes, process gaps, and opportunities to improve product reliability and operational performance.
- Driving development and enhancement of test operations tools, dashboards, reporting systems, and KPI tracking mechanisms to improve visibility and decision-making.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate and implement new test technologies, automation capabilities, and best practices.
- Facilitating communication between Test Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management teams to ensure timely resolution of production test issues.
- Providing regular status updates, technical assessments, risk evaluations, and improvement recommendations to leadership.
- Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by ensuring manufacturing test readiness, operational scalability, and alignment with established test methodologies.
What You’ll Bring
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field and 3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, test engineering, quality engineering, production operations, or program coordination; or
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline and 1+ years of relevant experience; or
- 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, test engineering, quality engineering, production operations, or technical program support in lieu of a degree.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and analyze manufacturing and test performance data.
- Strong organizational, project coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data reporting too
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with hardware/software integration testing.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience working with global teams and suppliers.
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
ZT Systems, a Sanmina Company, assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $52,500. and $70,000 annually. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
