About you and this role

DOW has an opportunity for Associate SAP POM Consultant (IT Analyst)  who begins to apply conceptual knowledge to assist in designing, developing, and supporting solutions and processes to meet business needs and requirements. Accompanied by significant guidance, works in a business process, enabling, or implementation team, and applies general knowledge of Information Systems, which is typically developed through formal education.   

In this role, you will require conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures as well as having general business knowledge developed through education or prior experience related to your discipline and functional area. You will need to have the ability to exchange straightforward information with others and ask questions to check for understanding.   

It is your responsibility to use established procedures and practice to analyze and resolve standard problems. You will be accountable for assigned contributions with no direct supervisory responsibilities. Your performance impacts your own work with limited impact on your team. You will need to use established procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. 


Responsibilities

  • Support SAP Production Operations Management (POM) and Production Planning (PP) applications that enable critical manufacturing operations across global production facilities.  
  • Collaborate with business process experts, senior analysts, and solution managers to understand manufacturing requirements and support the delivery of reliable, scalable technology solutions.  
  • Assist with application configuration, testing, deployment, and production support activities for manufacturing systems, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards and best practices.  
  • Support production execution processes by investigating and resolving application issues related to process orders, batch management, production confirmations, inventory transactions, and manufacturing traceability . 
  • Participate in troubleshooting application, data, and integration issues across interconnected systems, contributing to root cause analysis and resolution activities.  
  • Support delivery of project and enhancement activities, including requirements gathering, functional testing, documentation, training support, and deployment preparation.  
  • Create, update, and maintain functional documentation, support procedures, and knowledge articles to improve supportability and knowledge continuity.  
  • Monitor application interfaces and data flows, supporting integration stability across SAP and connected manufacturing systems, and assisting in resolving data and interface issues.  
  • Participate in incident management processes, including ticket triage, prioritization, and resolution support within a 24x7 global manufacturing environment . 
  • Actively engage in support rotations, contributing to timely resolution of incidents and minimizing disruption to manufacturing operations.  
  • Develop foundational knowledge of manufacturing processes, SAP PP/POM capabilities, and system integrations to build functional and technical expertise. 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in IT discipline preferred or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Your Skills

  • Foundational understanding of manufacturing and production execution processes, including how IT systems enable end-to-end production operations across global manufacturing environments.  
  • Knowledge of SAP Production Planning (PP), Production Operations Management (POM), or related manufacturing systems, with an understanding of their role in supporting production execution and operational workflows.  
  • Understanding of key manufacturing concepts including process orders, batch management, production confirmations, inventory transactions, and manufacturing traceability.  
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and support the translation of those requirements into functional and technical solution designs under guidance . 
  • Experience supporting application lifecycle activities including configuration, testing, defect investigation, documentation, and production support . 
  • Exposure to incident management and issue resolution processes, including troubleshooting application, data, and integration issues in a production environment.  
  • Foundational understanding of system integrations, interfaces, and data flows within an enterprise manufacturing landscape.  
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (business process experts, developers, architects, and support teams) to support solution delivery and issue resolution . 
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly document processes, solutions, and support procedures.  
  • Demonstrated learning agility, with the ability to quickly build knowledge of manufacturing processes, SAP capabilities, and integrated system landscapes . 

Additional notes

  • Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA manufacturing solutions, including exposure to production planning or production execution processes 
  • Exposure to manufacturing, quality, supply chain, or operations business processes within an enterprise or industrial environment 
  • Familiarity with SAP and non-SAP application landscapes, including custom solutions and integrated enterprise applications 
  • Experience participating in application support, testing, or project delivery activities, including issue triage, defect investigation, or deployment support 
  • The ability to accommodate a flexible schedule aligned with international time zones is essential.
