Description
We are looking for an FCAS who owns admitted P&C rate, rule, and form filings from initial regulatory assessment through final Department of Insurance (DOI) disposition and implementation.
- Location: Remote, or in person at our London (UK) office. Visa sponsorship is available.
- Equity: As an early hire you will hold a meaningful stake in the company you are helping to license.

You will be working with:
- Our founding actuary (FCAS)
- Our head of portfolio risk (FIA)
- Two quantitative pricing associates
- Our forward deployed engineers

You will have the opportunity to:
- Build rating plans and filing strategy
- Develop reviewer relationships across a growing map of states
- Qualify into new lines of business with the reviewed experience and education to match
- Take a realistic path toward appointed actuary and chief actuary as the company grows
- Build the actuarial function you will eventually lead
Required:
- You are a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS)
- You passed Exam 6 (United States)
- You have at least three years of actuarial work experience
Good to have:
- You've authored and submitted your own SERFF filings
- You understand how DOI actuarial reviewers in our key states actually evaluate filings
- Your DOI work spans both personal lines and bureau-referenced commercial lines
- You have supported predictive-model-based filings through actuarial objections
- You bring three or more reviewed years of P&C reserving work
- You learn quickly, take ownership from start to finish, keep your technical skills sharp
