Description
As an End User Computing Specialist at NewDay, you'll help ensure colleagues have secure, reliable and high-performing technology to do their best work. Working within the End User Services Operational Support team, you'll support and improve our modern workplace technology estate, covering end user devices, collaboration tools, endpoint security and remote working solutions.
How you'll contribute
Deliver technical support and troubleshooting across end user devices, Microsoft 365 technologies, collaboration tools and peripherals, including VIP support where required.
Maintain and enhance the performance, availability and reliability of end user computing services, ensuring service levels are achieved.
Support and optimise Microsoft Teams Rooms, event space technology and remote working solutions to provide a seamless colleague experience.
Drive device lifecycle management activities including provisioning, deployment, patching, security hardening and endpoint management.
Identify and implement process improvements, helping to resolve recurring issues and introduce new technologies and functionality.
Contribute to governance, compliance and documentation activities, ensuring end user services remain secure, audit-ready and aligned to business requirements.
We're looking for these essential skills
Strong ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues while delivering an excellent customer experience across a range of stakeholders.
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments, operating systems and modern endpoint management platforms including Microsoft Entra, Intune and Jamf.
Knowledge of endpoint security, device provisioning, Windows Autopilot, patch management and security compliance best practices.
Ability to analyse technical issues, identify root causes and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear documentation and build effective relationships across teams.
Ability to manage competing priorities, contribute to technical initiatives and remain calm and effective under pressure.
It's a plus if you also have these skills
Experience supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms, collaboration technologies and event space solutions.
Ability to contribute to project delivery, vendor management activities and continuous service improvement initiatives.
Creative and innovative approach to engineering challenges and problem solving.
Understanding of financial services environments and the regulatory and security considerations associated with them.
Familiarity with PCI-DSS requirements or working within highly governed and compliance-driven organisations.
Externally this role may also be known as Desktop Support Engineer, Desktop Support Analyst, End User Computing Engineer, End User Support Analyst or 2nd Line Support Analyst.
