This position may be a member of a team that provides support, services, and treatments necessary to provide integrated care to individuals with behavioral health diagnosis or substance use disorders. Provides oversight and general nursing care and services to persons with behavioral health challenges in the Neil Dobbins Center, a Facility-Based Crisis Center. Relies on education, skill, and judgment to provide quality services to the people we serve with limited direction and supervision.

Education, Licensure, and Experience required for the position include: Requires a unencumbered Registered Nursing License. For certain behavioral health services additional requirements may apply.

Physical requirements to perform essential functions of the job included: Required to lift 20 lbs. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. Must be able to pull minimum of 25 lbs. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Required to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Must be able to talk and hear.

We are offering a $5,000 sign-on-bonus for Full Time!

This position may be a member of a team that provides support, services, and treatments necessary to provide integrated care to individuals with behavioral health diagnosis or substance use disorders. Provides oversight and general nursing care and services to persons with behavioral health challenges in a 16 bed, Facility-Based Crisis center setting. Relies on education, skill, and judgment to provide quality services to the people we serve with limited direction and supervision.      

Starting Pay: $36.00

Shift differential: 10% for weeknights and 15% for weekend nights. 10% for weekend day shifts.

Bonus: $5,000

Schedule: Full Time

Friday-Sunday, 7:45a-8:15p

Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing.
  • Must meet the education, experience, licensure/certification requirements specified by the service definition of the service being provided
  • Prefer one year of nursing experience.
  • Experience in behavioral health nursing preferred.
  • Some college training and/or management experience helpful
  • Valid drivers license (this is a condition of employment) including personal vehicle insurance coverage.
  • Must maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications and privileging if required.

   
Job Responsibilities

  • Complying with Controlled Substances policy and procedures in maintaining accurate inventories and controlled logs, following appropriate guidelines for investigation of discrepancies
  • Performing Nursing assessments and interventions with medications oversight and administration as needed
  • Monitoring individuals served and taking appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications
  • Completing QA activities as requested and participating in the QA process
  • Providing nursing care to individuals served and monitoring for safety
  • Ensuring license of other nursing staff is in good standing as appropriate
  • Providing nursing evaluations and monitoring for safety
  • All other duties as assigned

Essential physical and sensory requirements include:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. 
  • The employee frequently is required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell. 
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Must be able to demonstrated proficiency in CPR from floor level. Practicing CPR skills will require you to work on your hands and knees, bending, standing and lifting. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
