Description
The position is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality continuing education courses to support ongoing licensure and professional development of healthcare professions. Current licensure as a health care professional in the state of Maryland required. Master’s degree or higher in health care professional related field required. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the college level, preferred. Experience in developing continuing education unit (CEU) for health care professionals, preferred.
- Collaborate with Program Directors and faculty in health care programs within the credit and continuing education divisions.
- Maintain currency in evidence-based practice.
- Maintain knowledge in CEU approval and accreditation processes.
- Assess and use data to create course development plans.

- Design, develop, and maintain a consistent course structure and format for short-term continuing education programs serving healthcare professionals.
- Prepare and maintain documentation required for CE approval and accreditation.
- Design and create a process for applying and obtaining approval for CEU credits.
- Ensure CE courses meet regulatory standards for continuing education credits.
- Assess needs of healthcare employers, alumni and professional organizations to provide focus for the development of courses.
- Create an evaluation process for CEU courses.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the CE Program.
