Jefferson Health is seeking a Tele-Neurologist Physician to join its nationally recognized Department of Neurology and growing teleneurology program in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is an excellent opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible neurologist interested in providing high-quality neurologic care through a technology-enabled clinical model within a leading academic health system.The primary work location for this position is 901 Walnut Street in Center City Philadelphia, situated within Jefferson’s extensive neuroscience and academic medical campus. Jefferson’s Center City campus includes Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience and the Vickie & Jack Farber Institute for Neuroscience, providing access to a broad range of neurologic and neurosurgical expertise.
Job Description
Provide telemedicine-based neurologic evaluation and management to Jefferson Health patients.
Collaborate with neurologists, advanced practice providers, emergency medicine physicians, hospitalists, and other multidisciplinary clinical teams throughout the Jefferson Health system.
Evaluate and manage a broad spectrum of neurologic conditions through a virtual care model.
Participate in the continued development and expansion of Jefferson’s Tele-neurology program.
Utilize secure telemedicine technology to provide timely, patient-centered neurologic consultations.
Work within a sophisticated academic environment with access to Jefferson’s comprehensive neuroscience resources and subspecialty expertise.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency.
Board certified or board eligible in Neurology.
Eligible for medical licensure in Pennsylvania.
Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
Comfortable providing patient care through telemedicine technology.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary academic health system.
Fellowship training or additional expertise in a neurologic subspecialty is welcomed but not required.
