Practice Administrator I - Family Medicine Residency

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Job Summary:

• Responsible for the administrative, operational, financial, and human resource management of one or more physician medical practices associated with the Family Medicine Residency.  

• Ensures effective delivery of ambulatory services, achievement of financial and operational goals, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional patient experience.  

• Partners closely with physicians and clinical leaders interfacing with centralized corporate departments to support organizational objectives.

Reports To: 

• Dir/Academic Clinical Ops

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field and minimum with three (3) years of supervisory experience in physician office, customer service, billing, or clerical environments
• High school diploma (or certificate of equivalency) and five (5) years supervisory experience in physician office, customer service, billing, or clerical environments

Preferred Education:

• Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Public Health (MPH), or a master’s degree in a related field.

Required Experience: 

• Knowledge of healthcare operations, physician practice management, and ambulatory care workflows.
• Knowledge of value-based care models and population health management.
• Strong organizational and management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex matters clearly to executive, clinical, academic and community audiences.
• Proficiency in electronic health records, practice management systems, and business analytics tools.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with physicians, residents, faculty, and healthcare leaders.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience managing primary care.
• Four (4) plus (+) years of work experience (in any capacity) in a medical practice setting.
• Knowledge of value-based care models and population health management.
