Local Quality Officer (m/f/x)

Location: Athens | Employment: Full-time, Permanent

You will serve as the primary Quality representative for the Greek Affiliate, acting as a critical link between the local organization, CSL Behring manufacturing sites, and Global Quality. You will be responsible for maintaining an effective Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring GDP/GMP compliance, supporting product lifecycle activities, overseeing third-party logistics providers, and fostering a strong quality culture across the affiliate.

You will also be a key member of the Affiliate Management Team, providing quality leadership and partnering closely with local and global stakeholders to support business objectives while safeguarding product quality and patient safety.

The Role:

  • Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the local Quality Management System in compliance with CSL standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Provide quality oversight for all CSL Behring products marketed, distributed, or supplied in Greece.
  • Ensure compliance with GDP, GMP, local regulations, and inspection readiness requirements.
  • Manage quality processes including deviations, CAPAs, product complaints, change controls, training, documentation, recalls, and quality risk management.
  • Oversee quality activities related to third-party logistics providers, suppliers, vendors, and customers.
  • Support new product launches and ensure ongoing compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Monitor quality performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead self-inspections and support internal, external, and regulatory audits, including CAPA development and implementation.
  • Act as the primary contact for product recalls, field actions, and quality-related supply chain issues.
  • Ensure affiliate personnel receive appropriate quality and GxP training in accordance with CSL and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the key liaison between the Greek Affiliate, Global Affiliate Quality, manufacturing sites, and external stakeholders.
  • Participate as a member of the Affiliate Management Team, providing quality expertise and contributing to business and strategic discussions.
  • Collaborate across functions and with regional and global teams to strengthen quality culture and share best practices.
  • Support the management of unlicensed products and ensure compliance with applicable local requirements.
  • Manage assigned quality budgets and additional affiliate quality responsibilities as required.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Qualification requirements must comply with applicable local legislation.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience in GDP-compliant distribution and warehouse management environments.
  • Experience interacting with regulatory requirements and quality compliance processes.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical quality systems and quality assurance principles.
  • Good understanding of Good Distribution Practices (GDP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and applicable local regulations.
  • Fluent Greek and strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities with a balanced risk-based approach.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively across local, regional, and global teams as well as external partners.
