Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiology Tech II you will serve as a cornerstone of our surgical and diagnostic imaging team, delivering high-quality patient care across both the imaging department and the operating room. You will act as a clinical leader and mentor, upholding the highest standards of practice for our staff, students, and multidisciplinary teams.

 

Every day you will perform precise diagnostic imaging and provide critical intraoperative support for complex neurosurgical and spinal procedures using advanced navigation technology like the Medtronic StealthStation. You will also ensure strict adherence to radiation safety protocols while acting as a technical expert to maintain optimal departmental efficiency.

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess advanced technical proficiency in surgical imaging and a proven ability to lead in high-pressure clinical environments. We are looking for a dedicated professional who combines expert knowledge of navigation systems with a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

• Operates surgical navigation systems (e.g., Medtronic StealthStation) during neurosurgical and spinal procedures, serving as the vital link between advanced imaging and surgical execution.
• Performs diagnostic radiology procedures, providing safety for self, patients, and all other individuals. Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to "as low as reasonably achievable" (ALARA).
• Produces quality images in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
• Ensures smooth operation of the navigation technology, troubleshooting issues proactively, and providing technical support to address the surgeon's navigation needs in the operating room.
• Participates in clinical training and provides support to students, staff technologists, and other hospital personnel. Provides guidance for development of clinical skills, explains equipment and department procedure, and supports hospital and program policies/procedures.
• Maintains compliance with all State, Federal, accreditation, and hospital regulations and standards.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Registered Technologist: Radiology - R.T. (R) (ARRT)
• Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
• Licensed Radiology: Required Kansas LRT for Kansas Facilities
• Training for advanced procedures and special use equipment-required within 3 months

Preferred

• Associate's Degree
• Bachelor's Degree

• Bone Densitometry preferred within 6 months, if applicable to the entity
