- You analyse existing manual test scenarios and transfer suitable test cases into maintainable and reusable automated test suites, performing manual tests when required.
- You integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable test execution within the delivery process.
- You analyse, document and communicate test results, investigate failures and review test scripts for quality, maintainability and reliability.
- You develop test concepts and contribute to the optimisation of test strategies, test methods, test coverage, tools, processes and frameworks.
- You collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, contribute to knowledge management and act as a mentor for colleagues.
Requirements:
- You have a degree in computer science, software engineering or a comparable qualification, combined with at least three years of relevant professional experience.
- You have experience with common test automation frameworks and at least three years of hands-on experience with Playwright for frontend/UI and API test automation.
- You have a good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON, authentication mechanisms and API test design.
- You can derive automated tests from manual test cases, acceptance criteria and technical requirements, and are comfortable performing manual tests when required.
- You have knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as Java, JavaScript or TypeScript, as well as CI/CD processes and test integration.
- You can analyse test failures, distinguish between application, test and environment defects, and communicate risks and results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You can lead small teams, provide constructive feedback, share your knowledge and work confidently in English-speaking, international and remote project environments.
Nice to have:
- You have experience with Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD).
- You have experience using AI-assisted or agentic coding tools to support the development and maintenance of Playwright-based UI and API tests, and can review and validate AI-generated test code for correctness, security and maintainability.
- You have experience with load, stress or performance testing, contract testing, integration testing or service virtualisation.
