Freight Controller

Join ESAB Budapest Shared Service Center (SSC) and help us manage and improve European freight operations! You’ll work with international teams, drive logistics projects, and ensure world-class service for our customers.
What You’ll Do 📦
- Control and analyze inbound & outbound freight costs
- Monitor and report freight KPIs (Safety, Delivery, Quality, Cost)
- Handle claims reporting and help minimize damages
- Build strong relationships with 3PL & 4PL providers
- Support internal teams with transportation and logistics topics
- Drive continuous improvement projects and cost optimization
- Ensure compliance with relevant transport regulations
What We’re Looking For 🧩
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations (fresh graduates welcome!)
- Excel proficiency and strong numerical skills
- Knowledge of LEAN or Six Sigma is an advantage
- Fluent English is required
- Systems like Medius, Roseta, M3 – no prior experience needed, training provided
- Financial background or knowledge is a plus
- Advantage: previous experience as a Freight Controller or in handling and reporting freight claims
