Context
SYSTRA is looking for an amazingly talented Requirements Manager to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the requirements process for the Client for a major Rail project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The ideal candidate should have proven experience leading and managing the requirements management process for large-scale Rail projects, with the ability to clearly define, document, verify, validate, and maintain traceability of business, functional, and technical requirements throughout the project lifecycle. The candidate should be capable of acting as the lead interface between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring contractual compliance and the successful fulfilment of Client requirements during contract execution and engineering delivery.
Missions/Main Duties
- Provide requirements management expertise to analyze, track and clarify requirements.
- Manage the process to develop, maintain, and participate in requirements processes.
- Establish and apply processes and tools to capture, structure, and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage the application of the Requirements Management Plan in line with project governance.
- Track and maintain traceability of technical information across the entire lifecycle.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, safety, environmental, and stakeholder teams to validate requirements.
- Advise Client and coordinate with project stakeholders in the resolution of requirements related issues.
- Manage a requirements database, ensuring full traceability from contract and programme requirements to design and delivery.
- Ensure requirements are clearly communicated and implemented across all design and construction disciplines.
- Lead verification, validation, and acceptance activities, ensuring compliance with contract, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Identify and resolve requirement gaps, conflicts, and dependencies in collaboration with project teams.
- Support change, configuration, and interface management processes.
- Liaise with designers and consortium teams using tools such as DOORS / ComplyPro, including evidence linking.
- Track and report requirements compliance KPIs to project leadership.
- Promote a structured and disciplined approach to requirements management across the programme.
Profile/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree and/or have Chartered Engineer Status, with not less than 10 years’ experience in the management of design and/or construction of rail projects.
- Extensive experience in the management and implementation of requirements management practices as applied to major railway/Metro projects.
- Detailed working knowledge and experience in requirements management tools in particular Comply Pro/IBM DOORS or similar demonstrating compliance with standards including EN 50126/50128/50129 and ISO 29148.
- Ability to analyze and validate requirements, including requirements writing and acquisition-related tasks.
- Solid understanding of systems engineering principles.
- Experience in the application of systems assurance standards such as EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, IEC 61508 etc.
