Renewable Asset Manager I / II 

Job Summary 
The Renewable Asset Manager is responsible for broad asset ownership and execution of major renewable commercial contracts. This role requires collaboration, organization, attention to detail, and cross-functional partnership to drive compliance, consistency, and operational support within the Generation business unit and renewable energy industry. 
 
This position may be filled at either the Renewable Asset Manager I or Renewable Asset Manager II level based on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, and business needs. 

Essential Functions 

Shared Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with Performance Management, wind/solar facility staff, OEMs, service providers, and internal stakeholders to support asset compliance. 

  • Participate in development and construction meetings to ensure policy adherence and timely communication of findings to leadership. 

  • Create, oversee, monitor, track, and approve of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and related invoices. 

  • Support development and execution of department reporting. 

  • Review and interpret renewable energy contracts and respond to contract-related questions. 

  • Document and enter data into the Governance, Risk, and Compliance tool. 

  • Work with EPRI and other industry experts to support alignment with current and future industry standards. 

  • Maintain professionalism and involve key stakeholders when working through contract disputes. 

  • Perform ad hoc requests from the renewable asset management team. 

  • Create and facilitate processes and procedures in collaboration with renewable asset management and operations teams. 

Renewable Asset Manager I – Scope 

  • Own and manage warranty agreements for Renewable Generation assets. 

  • Ensure compliance with warranty agreements. 

  • Analyze, submit, and manage warranty claims from submission through closeout. 

  • Generate weekly warranty claim status reports for internal personnel and leadership. 

  • Work under coaching and direction from an Asset Manager III and/or Senior Asset Manager. 

Renewable Asset Manager II – Scope 

  • Perform all duties and responsibilities of the Renewable Asset Manager I, plus broader contract and asset ownership responsibilities. 

  • Track key milestones to ensure commercial and governmental obligations are met. 

  • Coordinate and lead regularly scheduled and impromptu stakeholder meetings. 

  • Own and manage the document repository during diligence and post-construction. 

  • Generate weekly status reports for internal personnel and leadership. 

  • Own assigned asset management tasks within project schedules. 

  • Collaborate with internal departments to create solutions. 

  • Document lessons learned from previous contracts and recommended future contract alignment with business needs. 

Required Qualifications 

Renewable Asset Manager I 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. 

  • Less than 1 year of experience; entry-level position. 

  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing financial budgets and accrual processes, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with organizational financial guidelines. 

  • Contract Governance & Administration: Proven experience interpreting contractual language, managing contract governance requirements, and overseeing the contract lifecycle from negotiation and execution through performance management, compliance, and renewal. 

  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • Critical thinking skills and ability to understand legal and financial implications. 

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 

  • Ability to work independently. 

  • Valid driver’s license. 

Renewable Asset Manager II 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. 

  • 2+ years of renewable energy experience or 5+ years of experience in electric Generation. 

  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing financial budgets and accrual processes, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with organizational financial guidelines. 

  • Contract Governance & Administration: Proven experience interpreting contractual language, managing contract governance requirements, and overseeing the contract lifecycle from negotiation and execution through performance management, compliance, and renewal. 

  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • Critical thinking skills and ability to understand legal and financial implications. 

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 

  • Ability to work independently. 

  • Valid driver’s license 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience supporting renewable energy projects, generation operations, contract administration, or asset management. 

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, vendors, OEMs, or service providers. 

  • Experience with compliance tracking, warranty claims, purchase orders, invoices, or commercial contract milestones.

Placement Statement 
Candidate placement as Renewable Asset Manager I or Renewable Asset Manager II will be determined based on qualifications, experience, demonstrated skills, and business need. 

Renewable Asset Manager I: $62,000 - $86,800

Renewable Asset Manager II: $82,200 - $123,200
