Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Services Desk in Winter Park, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor entry activity, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access at the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor logs.
• Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries to appropriate personnel, and communicate clearly with employees, vendors, and drivers regarding site access requirements.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from the front desk, documenting and reporting unusual activity, access concerns, and maintenance issues.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
