PHARMACY REGULATORY COORDINATOR
SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:
The Pharmacy Regulatory Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing high-risk pharmacy programs, with a specific focus on overseeing our diversion program or compounding practices. This role serves as a vital contributor to the development and enforcement of our policies and procedures, ensuring that our facilities are aligned with the expected standards within their respective areas of responsibility. This position will work with the site pharmacy leaders in the region to ensure alignment is achieved.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must be licensed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy or Oregon Board of Pharmacy, based on the state worked.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician required, preferred to have 6 months with Saint Alphonsus. National Certification (CPhT, ExCPT or equivalent) required.
Bachelor' degree in either business or healthcare related field preferred.
Additional certifications may be required to ensure competency to assigned regulatory needs. Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
Assists the nursing, hospital and pharmacy leadership in ensuring regulatory programs are supported by procedure updates, education and creating/monitoring reports for process improvement.
Provides education to pharmacy team members and other disciplines as required. Demonstrates active leadership in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities
Ensures required departmental functions are completed to provide effective and efficient service.

Audits the process and outcomes in the direction of improvement in efficiencies and error reduction to patients. Ensures required departmental functions are completed in compliance with regulatory requirements. Precepting duties, as required. Mentors technicians and other care givers in learning new tasks.
