Walmart’s AdTech team is developing one of the largest and fastest-growing retail media platforms globally. Leveraging extensive shopper data and scale, the team creates innovative advertising solutions connecting brands with millions of customers. The work involves addressing complex challenges in real-time bidding, machine learning, data processing, and user experience. Members engage in full lifecycle development, integrating AI/ML components, and driving product strategy to shape the future of retail advertising with a focus on quality and impactful outcomes.
What you'll do:  

• Own scoped feature and model delivery through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support.
• Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
• Integrate AI and ML components using APIs to enhance software capabilities.
• Assist in converting high-level designs into detailed, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with platform objectives.
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and defect management to ensure software quality and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Monitor application performance and support continuous integration and delivery practices.
• Mentor and contribute to engineering best practices and innovation strategies.

  What you'll bring:  

• Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
• Strong experience with full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, automated testing, and maintenance.
• Ability to deliver scoped features and models through collaborative engineering teams with a product-driven mindset.
• Proficiency in debugging, code review, and defect management to ensure high-quality software.
• Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development.
• Skilled in translating complex business problems into actionable technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Demonstrated capability in designing scalable, secure, and maintainable software aligned with platform standards.
• Effective collaboration and mentorship skills to support team growth and continuous improvement.
• Strong hands-on development using Java, Python, Apache Kafka, Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow, Salesforce, data processing, workflow orchestration, or pipeline development, generative AI development tools and their application within software engineering workflows.

Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00


Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
