8Job Details:
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist performs interventional procedures only, utilizing proper techniques and safe administration of contrast media. The technologist works within their licensed scope in medication administration, equipment operation, and venipuncture. This role coordinates patient flow, supports IR operations and exercises professional judgment to maintain equipment in optimal condition. The technologist will have on call responsibilities and support other IR related functions based on departmental needs.Department Specific Job Details:
Hours: PRN day shift hours; call is required
Education: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology is required;
Certification: Radiographer - ODH ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technician Certified - American Registry or Radiologic Technologists is required.
CPR - American Red Cross is required.
Additional skills:
Strong understanding of human anatomy
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records
Proficiency with Radiology Information Systems and image storage
Knowledge of advanced IR computer applications
Strong understanding of radiation safety
Demonstrated productivity, teamwork, and independent work capability
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures related experience preferred
