Your Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Alliance leadership: Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned strategic biosimilars partners and as the authoritative internal point of contact for alliance matters.
  • Alliance launch and governance: Lead transition from deal teams, establish joint governance bodies and ways of working, clarify roles and decision rights, and ensure governance forums enable timely, strategic decision-making.
  • Value delivery: Translate contract intent and alliance strategy into integrated plans; drive decisions across development, regulatory, quality, manufacturing and supply, commercial and lifecycle priorities to maximize value for Sandoz and the partner.
  • Performance and contract management: Track milestones, KPIs, obligations, dependencies, risks, payments and value commitments; partner with Legal and Finance on amendments, interpretations and financial matters.
  • Cross-functional alignment: Lead through influence across Development, Global Program Management, Regulatory, Quality, Technical Operations, Commercial, Finance, Legal, IP and other functions to secure clear internal positions and coordinated execution.
  • Risk, issue and conflict resolution: Identify emerging risks and misalignment early, facilitate fact-based resolution at the appropriate governance level, and escalate critical matters with options and recommendations.
  • Alliance health and communication: Conduct regular health checks, maintain transparent partner dialogue, and provide concise, decision-ready updates to senior leadership and governance committees.
  • Growth and lifecycle optimization: Identify value-creation opportunities with existing partners, including geographic expansion, product enhancements, new assets, renegotiations, restructuring or orderly termination.
  • Functional excellence: Capture lessons learned, strengthen tools and processes, and share best practices to advance alliance management capability across Sandoz.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering or Business; MBA, PhD or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of biopharmaceutical or biosimilar development and commercialization required.
  • Typically 12+ years of pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry experience, including at least 5 years leading complex alliances, strategic partnerships or business development activities.
  • Demonstrated track record managing global, high-value partnerships and formal governance structures across development and/or commercial stages.
  • Strong knowledge of biosimilars or biologics market dynamics, regulatory pathways, development, manufacturing and supply, commercialization and product lifecycle management.
  • Proven negotiation, contract interpretation, issue resolution and risk-management capability; able to balance strategic, operational, financial, legal and relationship considerations.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership, executive communication and stakeholder-influencing skills in a complex global matrix.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to translate complex information into clear options and recommendations.
  • Fluent in English, another international language is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated cultural agility, sound judgement, resilience and high integrity; able to travel internationally as required.

Compensation Structure & Criteria: 

Sandoz compensation is determined by job level, qualifications, niche skills, experience, and location within company salary ranges. Fully proficient and highly effective employees can expect a starting salary around market median, with those new to the level or with less functional depth at the lower end of the range and those with sustained superior or niche skills towards the higher end of the range. Internal equity and external market data inform our range placement. Annual salary reviews consider performance outcomes, market alignment, and business needs. 

  • Job location: Holzkirchen, Germany
  • Starting pay range: EUR 106,300 - 197,500 ​
  • Variable compensation: 20% performance-based bonus,performance based long-term incentive plan.​ 
  • Additional benefits include: 30 vacation days per year (in full time), 1.200€ vacation payment (in full time), €40/month in capital-forming benefits (in full time), company pension, flex-hybrid working 50% per week in the office, access to our learning & development platforms Skillsoft & Learnlight, Access to our employee share program “OurShare”
