Description

Leap29 has partnered with an established international offshore engineering specialist to recruit a Stavanger based Instrument Engineer. Our client drives operational efficiency and low carbon initiatives across multi country offshore operations, bringing decades of technical expertise to modern energy challenges.

This role suits a self motivated engineer looking to join a dynamic, close knit E&I unit. You will step into a collaborative setting where every team member directly shapes project outcomes, handling diverse technical responsibilities from concept through to commissioning.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Drive project lifecycle deliverables, including initial cost/feasibility estimation, system design, and execution.

• Draft technical procurement specs and manage third party vendor performance and compliance.

• Compile clear job cards, work packs, and installation documentation.

• Maintain and revise engineering drawings and technical assets for fabrication and site installation.

• Build, coordinate, and review Mechanical Completion (MC) and commissioning documentation packages.

• Coordinate with cross functional engineering groups to maintain project milestones and budgetary targets.

Key Requirements & Background:

• Practical knowledge of offshore Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) compliance frameworks (HAVTIL, NORSOK, NEK 410/420, IEC61892).

• Solid understanding of Ex-certified equipment standards and hazardous area classification.

• Proven track record delivering instrumentation packages tailored to North Sea operator standards.

• Hands on capability with core design tools (AutoCAD, ProArc); exposure to STID, STIDLoop, or Procosys is a distinct advantage.

• Complete verbal and written fluency in both Norwegian and English.

Education & Skillset:

• Degree (Bachelor's or Master's) or Technical College diploma in Automation, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering.

• Equivalent practical experience, relevant trade certificates, or technical qualifications will be considered in place of a formal degree.

• Early career candidates and recent graduates possessing strong foundational skills are welcome to apply.
