About the Role

  • Experience in manual testing of Automotive Infotainment, Connectivity, Navigation, HMI, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, or Telematics features.
  • Hands-on experience in validating end-to-end vehicle infotainment functionalities across different vehicle programs, regions, and software releases

 

What You Will Do

  • Set up and maintain automotive test environments including Head Units (HU), mobile devices, backend servers, simulators, and test benches.
  • Execute manual testing activities for infotainment, connectivity, navigation, HMI, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and telematics features.
  • Validate software builds against functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Create, review, and maintain test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test execution reports.
  • Perform Smoke, Sanity, Regression, Integration, and End-to-End System Testing.
  • Analyse requirements, user stories, use cases, specifications, and design documents to derive test scenarios.
  • Identify, reproduce, document, and track software defects using defect management tools, providing supporting logs and test evidence.
  • Perform root cause analysis support by collecting logs, traces, screenshots, and diagnostic information.
  • Verify defect fixes and conduct impact analysis through regression testing.
  • Record, analyse, and report test results using appropriate test management and documentation tools.
  • Create and maintain project documentation in Confluence and other organisational repositories.
  • Collaborate closely with development, system engineering, requirement, and validation teams to ensure software quality.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, test planning sessions, defect triages, and project meetings.
  • Follow defined automotive quality processes, testing standards, and project compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong professionalism, ownership, accountability, and attention to detail throughout the testing lifecycle.

 

 

What You Need to Be Successful

Experience

  • Experience in manual testing of Automotive Infotainment, Connectivity, Navigation, HMI, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, or Telematics features.
  • Hands-on experience in validating end-to-end vehicle infotainment functionalities across different vehicle programs, regions, and software releases.
  • Strong experience in Black Box and Functional Testing of automotive software features.
  • Experience in executing Smoke, Sanity, Regression, Integration, and System Testing on bench setups and vehicle environments.
  • Familiarity with defect management, test planning, test execution, and test reporting activities.
  • Experience working with requirement management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Polarion, ALM, or equivalent.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Automotive Infotainment Systems, Connectivity, Navigation, HMI, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Telematics domains.
  • Expertise in Manual Testing methodologies including Functional, Regression, Integration, System, and Acceptance Testing.
  • Ability to develop, review, maintain, and execute test cases, test suites, and test scenarios based on system requirements.
  • Good understanding of automotive communication protocols, logs, and diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with testing tools such as CANoe, ADB, log analysis tools, and vehicle test benches.
  • Basic knowledge of automation and scripting languages such as Python, C#, or Shell scripting is desirable.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and customer-facing capabilities.
