What we are looking for:

  • Someone who is committed to caring
  • A relevant qualification in health and social care with at least 2 years’ experience in a senior care assistant role
  • The ability to lead, motivate, develop and delegate to others and be part of a supportive team
  • A kind, caring and compassionate nature with a sense of fun
  • The ability to communicate with a wide range of people, including residents, the home team and family members

Do you have experience of the following?:

  • Lead daily care delivery - ensuring high standards of person‑centred care and supporting staff to follow care plans and routines.

  • Monitor resident wellbeing - observing changes, escalating concerns and keeping accurate, up‑to‑date care records.

  • Positive leadership - guiding, coaching and supporting Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants throughout each shift.

  • Manage staffing levels - ensuring appropriate staffing levels, skill mix and smooth day‑to‑day floor operations.

  • Staff development - assisting with supervision, induction, training and Care Certificate progress.

  • Medication practice - supporting safe administration, monitoring compliance and reporting concerns promptly.

  • Safeguarding and compliance - identifying concerns, supporting statutory processes and ensuring adherence to CQC, COSHH and health & safety requirements.

  • Effective communication - leading handovers, maintaining professional relationships and escalating issues appropriately.

  • Quality improvement - contributing to audits, monitoring standards and driving continuous improvement.
