Senior Manager
What can you expect?
Your role is to design and evolve Mercer’s ecosystem so that content and knowledge is structured, accessible, and activated at scale. You will optimise our SharePoint-based collection of intellectual capital, embedding AI and automation to transform how content is managed, discovered, and reused, and undocumented knowledge is captured and insights are leveraged.
You will ensure our content management model is future-ready, enabling colleagues to seamlessly find, use, and contribute knowledge as part of their daily workflows. By combining content governance approaches, data, user insight, and emerging technologies, you will modernise how we work —driving efficiency, improving content quality, and accelerating the use of AI & automation is support of operational effectiveness.
We will count on you to:
• Design and optimise processes used to manage and sustain SharePoint-based content collection used globally by client facing colleagues
• Develop and maintain taxonomies, metadata models, and governance standards to ensure content is structured, discoverable, and reusable
• Embed AI and automation into content lifecycle processes (creation, tagging, approval, archiving)
• Enable AI-powered tools and knowledge assistants to reinforce consistency and standards during the content management process
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency through intelligent workflows and automation
• Combine analytics, user feedback, and market trends to evolve capabilities
• Collaborate with Mercer and Marsh platform owners to deliver scalable, connected solutions
• Develop automated, AI-enabled solutions (e.g. workflows, dashboards, interactive tools)
• Real experience using the Databricks platform
• Stated experience in transforming knowledge management
• Background in another professional services or consulting organisation.
• Business proximity: Understands broking, advisory and consulting workflows, client expectations, and operational realities.
• Commercial acumen: Connects knowledge initiatives directly to commercial outcomes, client delivery, and revenue.
• AI and digital fluency uses emerging technologies for knowledge creation, curation, and insight.
• Change leadership: Applies colleague insights and cultural understanding to ensure adoption and impact.
• Innovation and influence: Leads constructive change and guides adoption of new approaches

What you need to have:
• 6-8 years of experience
• Strong expertise in SharePoint Online and the MS365 suite
• Experience with content management, knowledge systems, and collaboration platforms
• Understanding of AI, automation, and search technologies applied to knowledge and content
• Experience of designing taxonomies, metadata models, and governance frameworks as the foundation of knowledge management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into solutions
• Experience working in complex, global, and fast-paced environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills and proven track-record of changing / influencing opinions i.e. constructively saying “no”
• Strong understanding of how professional services organisations operate and how client-facing colleagues' work.
• Ability to connect business strategy with knowledge management and digital capabilities, translating complex organisational needs into strategic, actionable knowledge intelligence solutions.
• Strong collaborative decision-making, problem-solving, and influencing skills at all organisational levels.
• Forward-looking, innovative mindset with curiosity about the future of work, knowledge ecosystems, AI, and digital collaboration.
• Ability to synthesise multiple inputs into cohesive strategic plans, with outcomes delivered through centralised technology and business teams.

• Technical fluency across collaboration and content platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365 ecosystem, SharePoint Online), enabling effective engagement with technology teams.
• Experience with content management, collaboration systems, and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON).
• Experience using analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Adobe Analytics) to derive insights that inform strategy.

• Data transformation, governance, and knowledge architecture. Databricks.
• Content and knowledge strategy in an AI-enabled environment
• Colleague (user) needs research, behavioural insight, and experience design

What makes you stand out:
• Strong experience in the universal foundations of knowledge and content management e.g. taxonomy, metadata, content review
• Strong experience with SharePoint online in an environment where consistency and standards that support colleague needs are placed over stakeholder demands
• Strong experience in using the MS365 suite, including PowerApps, for knowledge and content management activities in the process excellence space.
• Experience implementing AI-driven content management in a business environment (e.g. tagging, summarisation, copilots, agents)
• Ability to connect technical knowledge and business needs i.e. to align thinking with the “real world”
• Experience with content analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Adobe Analytics) to drive decisions
• Ability to act as a thought leader, contributing to internal and external knowledge communities
