Project Manager

What will you work on?
Reporting to the Product Development Manager or Director, you will drive the execution of global toys and games portfolios from initial concept through to full production. You will act as the central hub for large cross-functional teams—including Design, Marketing, Engineering, Quality, and Packaging—by establishing critical paths, mapping development processes, and managing dependencies to ensure successful product launches in a fast-paced consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment.

This is a 12 month contract with the possibility for renewal. This role will need to be in the NY office one day per week.

How will you create impact?

• Establish and maintain comprehensive project plans in collaboration with cross-functional development teams, defining tasks, milestones, resource needs, and key delivery dates

• Coordinate across multi-disciplinary, global teams to ensure product development schedules align with overall brand strategy and manufacturing timelines

• Manage product development programs against strict time, cost, and quality benchmarks reflective of business objectives

• Utilize formal verification techniques to monitor and manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs

• Track and measure project performance metrics using standardized systems, tools, and reporting techniques

• Proactively identify, anticipate, and mitigate project-level development risks and bottlenecks

• Partner with global operations to provide early warning of potential manufacturing or supply delays, and implement recovery plans to meet demand forecast revisions

• Monitor resource utilization across active programs and recommend resource allocation adjustments to leadership

• Deliver concise verbal and written status updates, project roadmaps, and escalation plans to senior management

• Continuously optimize internal project management toolkits, process maps, and methodologies to streamline the product development lifecycle

What are your skills and experience?

• Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, project management, or a related field

• Professional project management experience, preferably within a CPG, toy, or durable goods environment

• Technical understanding of manufacturing, plastics, materials, tooling, or engineering costs

• Proficiency using Microsoft Project, Agile platforms, or other industry-standard scheduling and workflow tools to track end-to-end development

• Experience designing and documenting new development processes that integrate digital technologies and modern user touchpoints into conventional physical product lifecycles

• Advanced capability in synthesizing complex project data into highly polished presentation materials for executive leadership review

• Bonus: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent professional project management certification is a plus

• Bonus: Prior working experience with SAP is a plus

The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in New York is $40 to $45 Per Hour. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
