As a Principal BMS Engineer, you will play a key role in defining and delivering advanced Battery Management System (BMS) algorithms, working alongside world-class engineers to develop innovative products that accelerate the transition to cleaner energy.

What you will do

• Lead the technical strategy and development of advanced Battery Management System algorithms.
• Define system requirements and drive key architecture decisions, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and industry standards.
• Make critical technical trade-offs across firmware, applications, BMS, and system-level solutions.
• Build and prioritize technical roadmaps that support product and project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with automotive and industry-specific standards throughout the system design process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and reliable battery solutions.
• Explore and implement modern engineering approaches, including AI-supported development and code generation tools.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years leading technical initiatives or engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in Battery Management Systems, battery technologies, power electronics, or automotive systems.
• Proven experience developing and deploying production-ready BMS algorithms for multiple battery chemistries.
• Deep understanding of system architecture, requirements management, and product development processes.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Experience working in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of Swedish language.
• Experience with AI-supported engineering tools and software development methodologies.
