*****This position is for a part-time Assistant Property Manager in Halifax, Nova Scotia.*****
About the Role
Strong client relationships are important to you. You enjoy playing a central role in customer service by bringing exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude to everything you do. The schedule is 24 hours a week, Monday to Friday, on-site.
As an Assistant Property Manager, you will support the management of commercial properties across various asset classes, including office and retail. Your responsibilities will span operations, financial administration, and tenant and client relations. From handling service contracts and overseeing bid packages to conducting property inspections and making recommendations, you will have the opportunity to contribute innovative ideas that help continuously improve the management of our commercial properties.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with property owners, tenants, vendors, and contractors.
- Respond promptly to tenant inquiries and requests to ensure lease obligations are met.
- Support senior management by preparing ownership reports, budgets, and other reports as required.
- Successfully manage administrative responsibilities, including work orders, service requests, rent and expense payments, property maintenance, and vendor compliance requirements.
What You'll Bring
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Two to four years of experience in commercial real estate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Familiarity with real estate software such as Yardi, MRI, or similar platforms.
- Successful completion of an RPA designation or certificate is an asset.
- Ability to learn new software quickly.
- Experience with contracts and lease agreements is preferred.
