The role

The Chief of Staff acts as the right hand to the CEO and the CCO, also working closely with the Chief Insurance Officer (CIO), and provides the structure, rigor, and follow-through that keeps the leadership agenda moving. This is a high-visibility role at the center of the organization, combining governance and meeting management with hands-on ownership of strategic growth and AI initiatives.

You will work directly with the most senior people in the business, including Group Management Board, as well as with external partners on strategic initiatives. The role suits someone who thrives on variety, can move fluidly between structured governance work and open-ended strategic problems, and wants outsized exposure early in their career.

Key responsibilities

• Own the operating rhythm of the WECOYA Underwriting Management Team: setting agendas, facilitating the meeting cadence, preparing materials, and driving follow-up to optimize the team's performance and decision-making
• Act as the central point of liaison between the CEO/CCO and the GGW Board and Group Management, preparing board-ready papers and navigating the Group's governance, protocols, and reporting requirements

• Act as a trusted advisor and sounding board to the CEO and CCO across strategic and operational topics

• Own the successful execution of strategic initiatives within the CEO and CCO's agenda, ensuring priorities are met, risks are identified and mitigated, and issues are surfaced and resolved before they escalate

• Drive Growth as a flagship strategic initiative end-to-end, from framing and analysis through to execution and tracking of results

• Lead AI as a flagship strategic initiative across the business, identifying opportunities and supporting implementation

• Coordinate cross-functionally across business units to ensure alignment and follow-through on leadership priorities

• Prepare high-quality, decision-ready materials, briefings, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders

What you bring

• 2–3 years of experience in consulting at a top-tier firm, ideally with exposure to the insurance industry
• Fluency in German and English (written and spoken); proficiency in Italian, Spanish, or Danish is a clear plus

• Strong intellectual curiosity and a fast, sharp, structured way of thinking

• Excellent judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into clear, decision-ready materials

• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset and comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate credibly with senior leaders, Board members, and external partners
