As a Business Architecture Manager Sr within PNC's C&IB Payments organization, you will be based in Dallas, TX or San Francisco, California.

Lead AI & Platform Architect:
The Lead AI & Platform Architect will define and drive the target-state architecture for AI, platform, integration, and shared technology capabilities across Corporate & Institutional Banking. This role will establish architectural standards, reference architectures, and governance practices that enable scalable AI adoption, API-led connectivity, event-driven solutions, and reusable platform services. The architect will partner closely with business, engineering, data, security, and product teams to accelerate modernization, reduce technology complexity, improve developer productivity, and drive consistency across the C&IB portfolio.

Key Requirements
• 10+ years of architecture experience with a proven track record designing and delivering enterprise-scale platforms, cloud-native solutions, and large-scale modernization initiatives.
• Deep expertise in AI and platform architecture, including GenAI/Agentic AI patterns, APIs, event-driven architecture, microservices, integration frameworks, and reusable shared services.
• Strong cloud and engineering background with experience in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes/OpenShift, developer platforms, platform engineering, and architecture governance.
• Experience establishing architecture standards and reference architectures while influencing multiple delivery teams across a complex enterprise environment.
• Financial services experience preferred, with knowledge of payments, treasury management, commercial banking, risk, or digital channels and an understanding of security, resiliency, and regulatory requirements.
• Outstanding leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, align stakeholders, and drive strategic technology decisions across organizational boundaries.

 

This position may be eligible for remote work in select geographic locations, subject to approval by PNC. If approved, work must be conducted from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace. Occasional in-office participation may be required based on business needs.

Job Description

  • Develops strategies, processes and methodologies in business architecture; leads a team in developing appropriate processes in business architecture, and methods for implementing these processes, to meet customer requirements.
  • Establishes strategies, processes and methodologies in business architecture.
  • Leads business architects in the development and delivery of business process architecture and technical business infrastructure.
  • Coordinates IT and business related activities and efforts; identifies the best processes to meet customer requirements.
  • Communicates with business stakeholders to accurately define business processes through effective tracking and evaluation approaches.

In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $160,930.00 – $326,050.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
