Job Description:

Quantity Surveyor

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team! In this role you will undertake commercial and quantity surveying activities for major infrastructure works, supporting accurate measurement, payments, variations, and claims while coordinating closely with project stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Measure and verify quantities, maintain quantity/cost records, and support commercial reporting.
• Review contractor payment applications and support preparation of interim payment certificates.
• Evaluate unit rates for new items, manage dayworks records, and support cost control activities.
• Prepare, assess, and administer variations, claims, and change orders; support entitlement evaluation and recommendations.
• Coordinate with project teams and contractors on commercial matters and maintain robust documentation for final account close-out.
• Support negotiation and preparation of claim/variation settlements and assist with final account preparation.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years experience in quantity surveying and contract administration, preferably on major infrastructure projects, including marine and roads.
• Strong knowledge of contractual/commercial processes, measurement, payment certification, variations and claims.
• Strong computer literacy and reporting/documentation skills; strong communication and stakeholder management capability.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

• Relevant professional certification (e.g., RICS) or other commercial/QS certifications.
• Experience working in a construction supervision/PMC environment in Abu Dhabi or the UAE.
