About the Role

We are seeking a C/C++ Software Engineer to join our Customer Delivery Group in India, working on on‑board software development for our OTA client. The role focuses on developing, integrating, and maintaining C‑based components that support reliable and secure Over‑the‑Air functionality in production vehicles.

This position is hands‑on and technically focused, contributing across the development lifecycle, including feature implementation, defect fixing, integration support, and release readiness. The engineer works closely with system, integration, validation, and customer teams to ensure high‑quality delivery.

The role also supports Tier‑4 technical analysis, addressing complex OTA‑related issues, performing root‑cause investigations, and contributing to continuous improvement of code quality, stability, and performance.

Your Team

Leads engineering team while have full responsibility for E2E delivery of our products.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain C‑based on‑board software across the full development lifecycle
• Contribute to release readiness, including implementation, validation, and defect resolution for OTA client deliveries
• Support Tier‑4 (T4) technical activities, including analysis and resolution of complex OTA‑related issues
• Be available for critical escalations during working hours and support urgent issue investigations
• Write production‑quality code to deliver customer features and improve core OTA functionality
• Investigate complex technical issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive improvements in software quality and stability
• Collaborate closely with QA, Support and customer success teams to ensure smooth end‑to‑end delivery
• Clarify customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions and implementation tasks
• Actively contribute to code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team
• Leverage automation and AI‑based tools where applicable to improve development, testing, and response times

What You Need to be successful

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/BTech).

• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in C/C++ software development
• Strong experience developing production‑quality, on‑board software for automotive or similar constrained environments
• Hands-on experience in Java and microservices architectures, used for tooling, backend services, or interfaces related to OTA workflows
• Solid understanding of C programming, memory management, multithreading, and performance considerations
• Experience working with Linux‑based systems
• Hands‑on experience with version control systems such as Git (GitHub / Bitbucket)
• Experience investigating complex issues, performing root‑cause analysis, and fixing production defects
• Ability to quickly learn new systems, contribute to POCs, and work effectively under pressure and deadlines
• Self‑motivated, independent, and proactive in problem solving
• Interest in leveraging automation and AI‑assisted tools to improve development and testing efficiency
• Good communication skills and business‑level English for collaboration with global and customer‑facing teams
• Experience with testing, debugging, and validation in an on‑board or system‑level context is an advantage
• Prior exposure to OTA technologies, diagnostics, or vehicle software platforms is a plus

Bonus Points if You Have

• Experience in AI/ML driven development

• Hands on experience in Android / QNX, GO and Rust
• Experience in SW development for the automotive industry with proven experience in ASPICE
