Full-Time | $18-$20/hour | Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM

We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to support the day-to-day administrative and patient-facing operations of our practice. This role serves as an important first point of contact for patients while managing check-in/check-out, scheduling, EMR updates, documentation, and other front-office functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet, check in, and check out patients while providing friendly, professional service.
- Register patients, collect co-pays/deposits, and ensure required paperwork, forms, and consents are completed.
- Answer and direct phone calls and assist patients with scheduling needs.
- Schedule and reschedule appointments, proactively offering earlier openings when available and managing waitlists.
- Schedule follow-up appointments at checkout and document when follow-up cannot be scheduled.
- Create, update, organize, and maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Obtain and document patient information, medical histories, vital signs, and test results as needed.
- Prepare examination rooms and help maintain a clean, organized facility with appropriate supplies.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and other healthcare standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and office staff.
- Complete required training and other duties as assigned.
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of administrative experience
- At least 1 year of hands-on EMR experience
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of clerical procedures, recordkeeping, and filing
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy requirements
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office ethics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software
- Previous experience working in a healthcare facility
