Hardware Regulatory Engineer

Description -

Job Summary

We are looking for a Regulatory Engineer to join our Hardware Test Team within LaserJet Hardware R&D organization. The position supports regulatory readiness, product compliance, and qualification testing across both new product development (NPI) and post-launch (CPE) programs.

Responsibilities include collaborating with Regulatory Engineers, R&D teams, CPE teams, packaging partners, and subject matter experts to drive regulatory compliance and product qualification activities. The position encompasses planning and executing compliance, reliability, and regulatory testing, evaluating results against worldwide regulatory requirements, and supporting the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality products. The successful candidate will also investigate and resolve compliance-related issues, support sustainability initiatives, and ensure continued product quality and regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

In addition, the position contributes to the digital transformation of engineering workflows through the development of AI-enabled and data-driven solutions that enhance test automation, reporting, and analytics.

This position provides an excellent opportunity to build expertise across regulatory compliance, product qualification, reliability testing, sustainability initiatives, and data-driven engineering solutions while working at the intersection of R&D, product quality, and regulatory engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with R&D teams to drive regulatory compliance activities and deliver regulatory requirements for both new product development (NPI) and post-launch (CPE) programs. Collaborate early in the design cycle to identify product quality and non-compliance risks, and recommend design improvements that enhance compliance, robustness, and regulatory readiness.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute hardware qualification testing for LaserJet products, including mechanical, electrical, environmental, connectivity, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements to ensure compliance with worldwide regulatory standards and product quality expectations.

  • Support investigation and resolution of product compliance and regulatory-related issues, driving timely corrective actions and ensuring sustained compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Analyze test data and leverage statistical methods, data visualization, and reporting tools to improve engineering efficiency, strengthen decision-making, and enhance overall test effectiveness.

  • Develop and implement AI-enabled and digital solutions to improve test workflow efficiency, automate data extraction and analysis, and create dashboards that provide actionable insights and reporting visibility.

  • Partner with R&D, packaging, and manufacturing teams to develop innovative validation strategies that address sustainability initiatives, including eco-friendly molded pulp packaging and related product qualification requirements.

  • Participate in hands-on engineering activities, technical reviews, and cross-functional discussions to ensure the successful execution of regulatory, reliability, and qualification programs.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of regulatory processes, test methodologies, and compliance practices to enhance operational effectiveness and product quality.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • Typically 2-5 years of experience in product compliance, regulatory engineering, product qualification, reliability engineering or an R&D test environment.

  • Experience in EMC, Safety, Connectivity, Environmental, or Product Reliability testing is preferred.
