Job Summary
The Systems Engineer I is responsible for the planning, design, engineering, configuration and troubleshooting of the hospital's server environment. This position works closely with clients, vendors, carriers and other technical and non-technical staff to analyze business and technical requirements and develop options, recommendations and associated cost benefits, while providing engineering design for implementations.Pay Range
Minimum $47.99 Midpoint $63.60 Maximum $79.20Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
* Required: Minimum two (2) years of experience with Active Directory technologies (DNS, DFS, Group Policy, ADFS, Certificates, Clustering), server administration, server virtualization across different hypervisors, mobile device management, email administration, terminal services administration, public cloud administration, and scripting (or any combination).
* Preferred: Three (3) years of experience with Active Directory technologies (DNS, DFS, Group Policy, ADFS, Certificates, Clustering), server administration, server virtualization across different hypervisors, mobile device management, email administration, terminal services administration, public cloud administration, and scripting (or any combination).
Education
* Required: Bachelor's degree or additional four (4) years of equivalent experience in lieu of education.
* Preferred: Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
Training
* Required: Server, backup & system administration training.
* Preferred: Experience with VMware ESX/ESXi, Citrix and personal computing devices.
Specialized Skills
* Required: Strong verbal and written communication, project implementation and troubleshooting skills. Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure. Ability to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing and on the telephone. Ability to think critically; work independently; manage multiple assignments; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; pay close attention to detail. Proficient skills in Microsoft Office e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Preferred: Strong teamwork abilities with multiple IS groups and departmental user groups.
