Your Role in Carbery's Success

This busy role is as part of the Engineering Stores team. This involves all aspects of inventory management such as ordering, receiving and stocking of spare parts to enable the efficient running of the plant and equipment across the site.

How You Will Contribute

  • Drive Fork-truck (mainly Chemical deliveries and spare parts stored in the Dry Goods Store)
  • Issue out spare parts to craft persons as required.
  • Stock check of spares parts in stores to ensure we have adequate stocks to support production.
  • Check deliveries to ensure that the actual parts delivered match the Purchase order on PEMAC (inventory system)
  • Receive deliveries on PEMAC (inventory system)
  • Stock check PPE / Consumables stored in satellite locations across the site.
  • Create Purchase Orders on PEMAC (inventory system) & issue to suppliers.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure agreed delivery dates are attained.
  • Place purchase orders and manage the deliveries of bulk chemicals, PPE and raw materials on AX (site inventory ERP system) ensuring that agreed stock levels and up to date pricing are always maintained.
  • Typically, 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday. It is an 8-hour day, the starting times are staggered across the team: 07:30 – 16:00, 08:30 – 17:00 & 09:30 – 18:00 which will be on a rotating basis.
  • Saturday will be overtime (typically 1 Saturday out of every 4 – working 08:00-13:00) rotated amongst the team.

  • Previous experience of working in a warehouse environment would be beneficial.
  • Prior knowledge of ERP/Inventory systems advantageous.
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical spare parts would be favourable.
