About the Role

This APAC Retail Marketing Intern role is responsible for supporting and developing retail marketing campaigns (including eCommerce) for the regional DCP Marketing team in APAC. This involves working collaboratively with multiple markets – Japan, Greater China, Korea, Australia & New Zealand, South Asia and other lines of business when required plus external partners. 

The intern role offers the opportunity to contribute to uniquely branded Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and 20th Century Studios multi-channel retail experiences and marketing initiatives.

As part of the APAC team, the intern will support regional marketing initiatives through campaign development, stakeholder coordination, planning, reporting and administrative tasks. This role is strategic and support-oriented in nature and does not involve the execution of local market activations or events.

Responsibilities:

The intern will be responsible for developing retail marketing campaigns, including e-commerce initiatives, from concept development and pitching through to asset creation in support of the APAC team and managers.

This role will support day-to-day project responsibilities, ensuring that all deliverables are on-brand, consistent and of the highest quality across all aspects of branding and marketing. Responsibilities also include working closely with the Creative team to generate ideas, develop concepts and when required, create rough layouts and visual representations for marketing and creative materials.

Projects will range from short term, quick turnaround tasks, to much larger projects which may take many months and have many revisions and may require marketing investment. Projects may cover sell-in/pitch decks, design direction deck, retail toolkits, including power point/key note presentations, merchandise mock ups, event layout, online content/media, marketing collaterals.

  • Work closely with Managers to develop strategic marketing plans and campaigns for the APAC team
  • Manage and oversee the entire marketing campaign process from concept, pitching to assets development.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Creative team as well as external agencies to develop retail marketing assets
  • Ideation for marketing campaigns and content that aligns with the business objectives and resonates with Gen Z
  • Consolidate APAC retail marketing updates for the Global team
  • Compile post campaign decks from all markets across APAC
  • Write copy for diverse marketing contributions – social media, marketing ideas ..etc
  • Stay up to date with current marketing trends in design, e-Commerce, digital, consumer products, and brand experiences
  • Perform any other duties, as may from time to time be assigned from management team
  • Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks

Internship Requirements:

  • Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree
  • Still an undergraduate and not yet graduated during the internship period
  • Must be available for full-time internship commitment (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm) between January to June 2027
  • Must be available to work on-site throughout the full period of internship

Requirements:

  • Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Applied understanding of basic marketing principles
  • Exceptional passion for the Disney portfolio and other brand-related activities
  • Passion for creating marketing campaigns for Gen Z and A
  • Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
  • Interest in understanding of the consumer products and retail industry including eCommerce and digital marketing
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms across APAC (Facebook, Instagram, Wechat, Rednote, Kakao, Line etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Keen eye for detail, strong time-keeping and project management to deliver professional, creative and high-quality work
  • Detail oriented, highly organized with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Equipped with excellent project management, analytic skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Highly collaborative and professional in nature
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously
  • Excellent skills in developing creative and innovative ideas
  • Must possess high level of enthusiasm and be a strong team player
  • Good presentation skills and the confidence to effectively convey ideas
