Automotive Estimator

Driven Autobody Shop is seeking an Automotive Estimator to help guide customers through the collision repair process from the initial vehicle assessment through completion. This position works closely with customers, insurance representatives, suppliers, and the production team to develop accurate repair plans and keep each repair moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and determine their needs while providing professional, attentive service
• Inspect damaged vehicles and evaluate the scope of collision damage
• Prepare accurate repair estimates that account for labor, parts, repair operations, and replacement needs
• Develop repair plans in coordination with insurance companies and suppliers
• Order and monitor parts throughout the repair process
• Communicate repair status and updates to customers, insurance representatives, and production staff
• Coordinate repair scheduling and help ensure vehicles move through the repair process efficiently
• Explain the repair process, insurance claim procedures, payment requirements, repair needs, and expected completion dates to customers
• Maintain accurate and current Repair Orders throughout each repair
• Manage multiple vehicle repairs and changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
• Complete quality checks and final paperwork before assigned repairs are closed
• Work collaboratively with the production team to address issues and keep repairs on track
• Assist with other shop responsibilities as needed, which may include vehicle detailing, test drives, and general shop cleanup

Qualifications

• Previous estimating experience in a collision repair facility is preferred, but not required
• Comfortable working with computers and automotive estimating or other software systems
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Able to communicate effectively with customers, insurance representatives, suppliers, and coworkers
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Comfortable managing multiple repair assignments in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, adaptable, and willing to shift priorities as repair needs change
• Positive attitude and professional approach
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Team-oriented work style and willingness to learn
• Spanish/English bilingual skills are preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Reliable transportation
